The Saturday & Sunday Advantage
If business were a marathon race that lasted 1 year, how would you like to have a 104 day head start? Talk about an advantage over your competition
There are 52 Saturdays and 52 Sundays in a given year. That’s 104 days total that most people spend away from work! If you could sneak in 6 hours on a Saturday and 6 hours on a Sunday, you just earned yourself 624 extra hours of awesome work product!!!
And it’s totally possible to squeeze in that extra time. Here’s a few tips on how to do it without hurting quality time with your family/friends:
Saturday
2 hours in the AM right after you wake up. HINT: Wake up earlier than your significant other to buy yourself a little extra time. i.e. I love it on a Saturday if I wake up at 6AM because I can log a good 3-4 hours while my wife and kids sleep
1 hour sprint during the day if the time becomes available.
1 hour while the wife is getting ready to go out.
2 hours after your significant other falls asleep.
Sunday
4 hours in the AM right after you wake up. T. Boone Pickens once said that nothing good ever happens after midnight, I agree. Hopefully you got a good night’s rest
Try to get up early. Big things happen while the rest of the world sleeps!!!
1 hour sprint during the day if the time becomes available.
2 hour sprint at night while everyone else is asleep.
Voila! You just earned yourself a 104 day head start over the competition that’s “taking the weekend off.”
