Long Copy

Over the past 6 months I’ve ranked 5 blogs in the top 4 positions for a multitude of commercial intent keywords.  These blogs have generated leads in the mid 6-figure range while the cost to build them out was less than $10k:  domain name, design, programming, press releases, and link building.

What few Direct Response Marketers know is that you can build out a long copy “ClickBank” style website that not only converts, but also ranks organically for targeted keywords.   The information I am about to provide to you cost me a lot of money to acquire, months of R&D, and is substantiated by marketers that rank #1 for the toughest commercial intent keywords in the world.  Enjoy!!!

Glossary Of Important Words

Targeted Keyword:  This is the keyword you are attempting to rank for.   i.e.  If the keyword is “John Doe,” then we will refer to this as the targeted keyword.

H1, H2, and H3 Tags:  An H1 Tag is a Heading Tag. Heading tags are used as a heading title for a page. Heading tags start at an H1 and go down to an H6 tag.

For example, the heading of Reputation Management post on the home page, where it says SEO “Reputation Management” is the H1 tag. The next heading on the page, “Why Go Through All This When You Can Hire A Reputation Defender?”,  is an H2 Heading Tag:

Home Page Article:  This is the first article on the home page a mini-site.  These pages remain on the home page (static) and are not updated when you publish new content.

Static Page:  This is a page of content on a website that remains static and IS NOT moved by new content.  For all of our sites moving forward the HOME page will remain static.  All other pages will be “dynamic.”

Dynamic Page:  A dynamic page of content on a website is a page that is constantly updated with “new” content, and then archived off the its page.  A good example of a “dynamic” page is the “blog” page on a website.

Anchor Text:  This is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink.

i.e.  Targeted Keyword:  “John Doe”

When working with John Doe, I learned he was a nice fella.  His only issue was he drank a bottle of whisky every morning before work.  John Doe’s wife still loved him though.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1.   The General Guidelines below apply to ALL content.

2.   Below are 2 separate sets of proprietary guidelines: Home Page Article and Blog Articles.

Both have similarities, however there are VERY different features to each.  Please pay close heed to these exact guidelines.  We received these guidelines from the TOP SEO experts in the world for the optimization of our corporate sites.  We’ve adopted the same techniques into our company’s best practices.

3.  In order for this to work, YOU MUST FOLLOW THESE EXACT GUIDELINES.  If 1 thing is missing the whole thing will not work.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ALL CONTENT+

1.  Write content to make sense to a human first and a search engine second.

2.  No helping verbs:  be, being, been.  Instead use action verbs.

3.  Content should be extremely compelling. Write to impress and get readers excited.

4.  Focus on the keyword term once in each title. Make the title stick out.

i.e.  title for targeted keyword “”:

Good Title:  Reputation Alert:  Reputation Changer Warns Of Black-Hat SEO Companies
Bad Title:  Reputation Changer Is A Company That Is In The Reputation Management Industry and Manages Reputation

MAXIMUM sentence length is 16 words.  Keep sentences concise and focus on easy readership flow.

5.  No one-word sentences.  Do not compromise grammatically to keep sentences short.

6.  Max paragraph length is 3-5 sentences

7.  Add 1 interior link to another page on the mini-site somewhere towards the middle of the body.

8.  Add 3 Anchor Text links in the final paragraph of every mini-site.  Anchor text multiple variations of the targeted keyword and link it back to different articles within the mini-site.  DO NOT send any links out to outside sites (unless it servers an SEO purpose).

Home Page Article

1.  HOME page of all sites MUST BE STATIC.

2.  Minimum word count is 1,000 words.

3.  Main Content (Home page content) MUST CONTAIN “TARGETED KEYWORD(S).”

4. Before the content, place a H1 heading using the EXACT MATCH TARGETED KEYWORD – and nothing else.  The title will have the exact keyword and design will implement into the proper H1 Tag.

5.  H2 heading would be an additional title within the main content.  This title can contain variations of the keywords.  This will be implemented into the H2 heading.

6.  In the very first sentence the targeted keyword must be used in BOLD.

7.  If you are targeting a local area the location MUST be used also in the first sentence.

8.  Variations of the keyword will be used throughout the page.

9.  Synonyms and variations of the keywords will be used throughout the content, using your best judgment.  This is called the “sprinkle” effect.

  • i.e.  Targeted Keyword: “Reputation Management Agency.”
“Has your reputation been effected by negative information online?  Let the management of your online reputation be handled by an agency well versed in this field. “

10.  In the very last sentence of the 1,000+ word article,   use the targeted keyword.  Do not bold.

NOTE:  If you are targeting a local area the location MUST be used also in the last sentence.

11. Content Heading (H1 Tag):
-  Always use stand alone “targeted keyword” for 1,000+ word articles.  i.e.   Targeted Keyword:  “Mary Smith”

H1 Title:   Mary Smith

12.  Place the H1 Tag directly above the main content.

13.  Content Sub-Heading (H2 Tag):  Use a variation of the targeted keyword.  Place the H2 tags  2/3rds of the way through the main content.

H1 Title:  All Star Mary Smith Wins Emmy Award

  • Article 3—560 words
